that ties them together. is it the good animation? is it the plots that seem to be having fun first and being stories for kids second? i dont know. but theyre good

i think this has to do with a third category of animated movies which consisted of late 90s early 2000s movies that deviated from two types: the traditional disney musical and cgi, which was on the rise with movies like toy story

this third type, which consisted of these movies, took an alternate route and focused more on experimental animation + storytelling
